The Classic Scriptures of Buddhism

“Lotus Sutra”  “Diamond Sutra”  “Buddha Says Infinite Life Sutra”  (original version of Ziguijia)

Overview 简介

These works, known as classical lecture notes, usually refer to in-depth analyses, commentaries, or lecture records of core Buddhist scriptures. In the Buddhist tradition, the “sutras” are the Dharma spoken by the Buddha.

At the same time, the scriptures or recently some called”handouts”, are the “textbooks” written by later eminent monks to help believers understand the subtle meanings.

These three scriptures have an extremely high status in Chinese Buddhism, representing different doctrinal cores:

1. <<The Lotus Sutra >>

2. <<Diamond Prajna Paramita Sutra>> (referred to as “Diamond Sutra”)

3. <<The Buddha Says the Sutra of Infinite Life>>  (referred the Sutra of Infinite Life)
